Congratulations to the team of the Laboratory of Neurogenesis of the Algarve Biomedical Center Research Institute (ABC-RI), coordinated by Professor Inês Araújo and with the participation of several professors and researchers from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Researchers Inês Araújo, Sónia Simão, Clévio Nóbrega, Ana Marreiros, Sofia Calado and Rafaela Agostinho (ABC-RI), in partnership with the Center for Neuropediatrics and Development (CND) of the University Hospital Center of the Algarve (CHUA), Hipólito Nzwalo, Noémia Silva, Raquel Medeiros and Carla Mendonça, coordinator of the CND, obtained funding for an exploratory project and a doctoral grant aimed at stimulating research on the contribution of H2S to neurodevelopment in Down Syndrome.

This study also has the collaboration of researcher Antonio Martínez-Ruiz, from the Instituto de Investigaciones Sanitarias La Princesa, and professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.
